Artist's Description
Sadly, the Oriental Magpie-Robin (Copsychus saularis) is frequently kept as a cage bird in Asia, often illegally, valued not just for its bold colour pattern, but for its singing ability. He has painted birds and other wildlife from around the world, often life size, working in oils, watercolours, and acrylics.
