Artist's Description
The Black Tern (Chlidonias niger) breeds in marshes in both Eurasia and in North America. It is small, weighing, on average, a little over 60 grams (about 2 ounces), and it has an engagingly buoyant, often swallow-like flight. This is a painting of a pair with newly hatching young is in oils on compressed hardboard, 16 X 12 inches. $900.00. Sold.
About Barry Kent MacKay

He has painted birds and other wildlife from around the world, often life size, working in oils, watercolours, and acrylics.
